Cognitive APPROACH
overview
Cognitive approaches to education focus on how information is processed by learners and how learning occurs when a learner is involved in an activity. Information can be processed and learned by performing mental activities such as thinking, remembering and using language.
situated cognition
Situated cognition describes how knowledge is bound to an activity in a social, cultural, or physical context. Therefore learning occurs through engagement in the activity within a particular context.
